Vincent series B & C Tool original tray dimensions Your input is requested husky@huskyclub.com I would like to document the original Vincent tool trays and then alterations can be at owners desire. Can you associate an original Vincent tool tray with a specific chassis? Can you supply meaningful picures? Can you supply dimensions?
I was able to get an OEM tool tray to look over for construction and found the details a little different than the repros I reviewed. Sheet metal weldment three pieces + handle 22 or 23 gauge steel, very light gauge folded double edges (6mm flat hem) at front and rear slide folded double edges (6mm flat hem) on top edge of welded sides embossed (20mm x 8mm) for spring detent handle (fourth piece)on right side with two rivets handle has folded edges except bottom edge measurements to follow This single handle tray slides right into an original seat tray slider on an old original seat. I also was able to borrow a double handle tool tray , which also slides in this old seat. However it does not have an embossed notch for the spring tab.
Not sure of , and need help with - the original radius at very bottom depth of original tray shape at front edge
maybe sharp breaks on sheet metal? maybe a jutting front edge?
